Core Values
We are a community of believers in Christ that value:
Biblical Authority
We value the Word of God as scripture and as our sole authority and we understand that its words are meant to be used in their primary, matter-of-fact sense unless the context indicates otherwise. It reveals the truth of God’s story for His creation and where we come to know the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus as the primary source of power, knowledge and a transformed life through the power of the Holy Spirit.
2 Timothy 3:16, James 1:22, Acts 17:11
Transformation
We value transformation by the Holy Spirit who redirects our hearts, minds and hands to live boldly through Him. It is the work of Christ’s life, death and resurrection that transforms our old selves into new lives that are boldly proclaimed through the way we worship, think and act!
2 Cor. 5:17; Rom. 1:16, 7:6, 8:15, 12:1-2, 15:13; 1 Cor. 1:18
Community
We value godly relationships as a primary way to worship, learn, serve and encourage one another. This is why we value Life Groups, and their development within a community of believers in Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 27:17, Acts 2:42, 1 John 1:7, Hebrews 10:24-25
Making Disciples
We value sharing, learning, teaching and mentoring others in following Jesus in such a way that they in turn will also lead lives that reproduce Christ in others. Making disciples is not a program but an organic process, shared with love from person to person.
Matthew 28:19-20, John 13:35, 2 Timothy 2:2, Luke 10:2
Outreach & Service
We value outreach and service as fundamental acts of love and obedience following the example of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Great Commission compels us to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ not only to those we know, but to our community, region and the whole world.
Acts 1:8, Matt. 20:28, 25:38-45; 28:19, Psalm 82:3-4, Isaiah 1:17, Phil. 2:3-4
